It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Moore Primary School website and to a school where our mission statement is simply, ‘striving for excellence.’ This we aim to do in all aspects of school life.

Here at Moore Primary School we welcome children, their parents and carers into a friendly, happy and hardworking environment where respect for others, positive attitudes towards work and behaviour are encouraged and nurtured. Moore Primary is a school where all children are valued and where all staff work hard to help every child reach his or her full potential. Children work in a very caring, stimulating school environment and respond well to the schools positive discipline policy. We believe that children learn best when they feel happy and safe, and do all we can to ensure this happens.

All members of staff here at Moore Primary School, both teaching and non- teaching, and the Governing Body, are committed to providing a broad, balanced and relevant education for all the children within a supportive and caring environment. They seek to build the self-esteem of all children and ensure they have all the skills needed to cope with the next phases of their lives.

Parents and carers are encouraged to be involved in their child’s education. We operate an ‘open door’ policy whereby parents and carers are welcome to come and talk to us about any concerns they may have. We think of our school as one large family and look forward to continuing to work with families for many years to come to provide the best possible school experiences for our children.
