Please see below a link for Halton SEND – What’s on locally Newsletter.  It is a very useful newsletter full of courses, networking and meetings to help you with some of the questions you may have about your child and their needs.

ADDvanced Solutions Community Network aims to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of neurodiverse children, young people, and their families through an offer of open access, solution focused, community based, pre during and post diagnosis learning, coaching, and mentoring programmes, information advice and guidance and health, wellbeing and enrichment activities. 

Our offer for Halton parents / carers includes:

  • Open access, solution focused drop ins delivered on Monday afternoon weekly during term time (9.30am to 11.00am – no need to book, just drop in) from Ditton Community Centre (Children’s Centre), Dundalk Road, Widnes, WA8 8DF.
  • Neurodevelopmental conditions Learning Programme – a six session programme to equip parents / carers with skills, knowledge and confidence to better recognise, understand and support the needs of their child presenting with characteristics which may be neurodevelopmental in origin.  Session include introduction to Neurodevelopmental conditions, ADHD, autism, sensory processing difficulties, supporting behaviour associated with NDcs, Local Offer, Disability Welfare Rights, special education needs support including Early Help and EHCPs.
  • Information advice and guidance (telephone, email support and website and social media resources)

Parents / carers do not need a referral, you can simply call the office (0151 486 1788) and they will explain the offer to you (and with your consent, add you to their mailing list).
